The Daffodil Trail At This North Carolina Park Is A Magical Sight To Behold
Experience a magical display of 50,000 blooming daffodils at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh.
Looking for something amazing to do in the coming days? Head to the capital city to experience the wave of daffodils that have sprung up for a positively magical surprise appearance at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh!
The bright yellow ribbon of daffodils meanders endlessly through the middle of the field as if making its way to the city center.
Back in November of last year, the City of Raleigh planted 50,000 daffodil bulbs in the Flowers Field section of the 308-acre park.
And the result couldn't be any more astounding!
Just when we thought the sensational flower fanfare at Dix Park had reached a peak with the magical field of sunflowers in the summer... we're officially in awe — again.
You'll find the enchanting trail of daffodils blooming in Flowers Field off Ulmstead Drive behind Flower Cottage and near the historic cemetery. The flowers should be blooming into early April.
Dorothea Dix Park is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk. Parking is available in all Dorothea Dix parking lots after 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and all day long on the weekends. There are no public facilities (except porta-potty restrooms) in the park.
