Here in the Empire State, we're often used to enjoy our favorite vineyards near the lakefront - with New York's famous wine country situated out in the Finger Lakes Region. You may be used to sipping on drinks by the water, but when's the last time you drank wine as you were sitting across from a sea of sunflowers? If this sounds like the type of magical summer adventure that you've been longing for, then don't hesitate to start planning a trip to this one amazing vineyard.
Out in one of New York's many small towns, Pindar Vineyards greets visitors each summer with a sea of golden sunflowers.
As if it wasn't exciting enough to be visiting one of the many vineyards you can find out on Long Island, the sunflower fields are the ultimate cherry on top of this adventure.
Before we gush over the scenery of this vineyard too much, let's get down to the basics first!
A family-owned vineyard that's been around for generations, there are lots of unique things that make Pindar Vineyards stand out from all the rest.
One of the many things that make Pindar Vineyards stand out is the fact that it's one of the only vineyards in the area that allows you to bring your own food - AKA it's the perfect place to pack a picnic basket for.
Growing nearly 20 different kinds of grapes here, the vineyard is known to produce roughly 70,000 cases of wine each year.
Step inside the vineyard's tasting room and you'll find the true heart of this amazing attraction.
With over 30 kinds of wines displayed in the room that you can taste and buy, it's always exciting to see all that's laid out for visitors here.
Throughout their operating season, you can expect to find exciting things happening on the vineyard like their paint and sip nights, live music, Sunset Fridays on the Wisteria Deck, and so many other events that you'll love.
Yet out of everything that attracts us here to this breathtaking vineyard, it's the sunflowers that have been growing here for over 20 years that leave us feeling really magical.
Did we also mention that this vineyard makes its own Sunflower Chardonnay? Talk about delicious.
Open daily from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., don't forget to look into taking a tour of Pindar Vineyards - a feature that's set to return this year.
