Everyone In New Hampshire Must Visit This Epic Farmers Market At Least Once
Here in New Hampshire we have plenty of farms and local food producers - and what better way to support these hard working local business owners than by buying their products at a farmers market? There are plenty to choose from in the Granite State, but one in particular seems to always end up at the top of everyone's lists.
The seasonal Portsmouth Farmers Market is operated by the Seacoast Grower's Association, a group which has supported farmers and producers in New Hampshire's seacoast region since 1977.
The Saturday morning market has become a ritual and gathering place for the community, with friends sipping hot drinks as they peruse the produce and catch up.
As you'd expect at a market run by the Seacoast Grower's Association, there is phenomenal produce available from farmers around the region.
The offerings range through the seasons, from hearty root vegetables to luscious tomatoes.
Of course, if you need a little sweet something, there are plenty of treats to choose from - like delicious whoopie pies.
You'll also find plenty of artisans selling hand-crafted wares.
There's always live music to enjoy too, making it a fun party in addition to a shopping trip!
You can even pick up some local brews.
The Portsmouth Farmer's Market runs May-November, rain or shine, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays at 1 Junkins Ave, Portsmouth, NH. Follow their Facebook page for updates!
