Here Are the Best Times and Places To View Nevada’s Fall Foliage in 2025

People don't tend to think of Nevada when they think of states with excellent fall foliage, but they should. There are so many beautiful places in our great state, and autumn's palette can enhance these areas even more if you time your visit just right. But when do the leaves change colors in Nevada and where should I go to view these vibrant colors? Well, we have the resources and the recommendations to ensure your fall 2025 is absolutely stunning.

Autumn is coming, which means lots of beautiful colors will soon appear in Nevada! But when will fall leaves appear? Well, generally, the eastern side of the state will see fall foliage the earliest. For 2025, changes will begin in early October, peaking by the middle-to-end of the month.

You can expect bright and bold fall colors around mid October in places like the Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge and in Great Basin National Park. However, the area near Las Vegas will experience peak fall foliage a week or two later.

Even up north, in places like Lamoille Canyon, you can see incredible colors beginning in early October and into the middle of the month. The western and central parts of Nevada will pop shortly thereafter. In fact, by Halloween, most of Nevada will be past peak fall colors!
