Even The Grinch Would Marvel At The Zoo Lights At Lincoln Children’s Zoo In Nebraska

Lincoln Children's Zoo hosts an impressive holiday light display with over 250,000 LED lights, transforming the zoo into a winter wonderland.

Holiday light displays are switching on all across Nebraska this time of year, from little twinkling strings in front yards to massive public shows. The Lincoln Children's Zoo has one of the most impressive in the state for the 2019 holiday season, and you've got to see it to believe just how incredible it is.

2019 is the inaugural year for Zoo Lights Powered by LES at the Lincoln Children's Zoo. The spectacular show transforms the zoo into a winter wonderland of lights and movement.

More than 250,000 LED lights adorn every part of the zoo. There are so many, in fact, that zoo staff started putting them up just after Labor Day.

This is one of the largest light shows in the entire midwest. It opened for the season on November 29 and will run through December 30, 2019.

One of the many impressive features is the 34-foot-tall Christmas tree. You can also expect to see lighted animal silhouettes, a 30-foot walk-through tunnel, and a massive lighted ornament that you can walk into for a unique photo opp.

For the entirety of the Zoo Lights attraction, you can board a special Christmas train for a ride around the lights. Santa won't be around to share the fun, but there are s'mores, hot cocoa, and lots of fun little surprises for the whole family.

Nothing can really compare to seeing it in person, but this video gives a sneak peek of the dazzling display.
