Nebraska's 10 counties with the highest traffic accident rates in 2014 are listed.

Nebraska's a terrific place to take a drive, for sure, but there's always the risk of an accident. Most Nebraska drivers are careful, but there are some counties that just seem to have a higher concentration of crashes. According to the Nebraska Department of Roads' 2014 statewide accident report, these 10 counties had the highest rates of any type of traffic accidents, including those which resulted in fatalities, injuries, and property damage only.

10. Sarpy County

12.51 accidents per 1,000 residents in 2014.

9. Dodge County

16.62 accidents per 1,000 residents.

8. Madison County

18.55 accidents per 1,000 residents.

7. Scotts Bluff County

18.88 accidents per 1,000 residents.

6. Hall County

18.92 accidents per 1,000 residents.

5. Platte County

19.20 accidents per 1,000 residents.

4. Douglas County

20.11 accidents per 1,000 residents.

3. Lancaster County

20.53 accidents per 1,000 residents.

2. Buffalo County

20.54 accidents per 1,000 residents.
