The Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is one of the most popular attractions in Nebraska, and with good reason. It's one of the most highly-rated zoos in the country. It's home to the world's largest indoor swamp and indoor desert, and hundreds of species of plants and animals. Over 25 million attendees have visited Henry Doorly in the last 40 years. This is a trip that many of us have taken in childhood, and it's definitely worth exploring again as an adult.

But you'll also run into less common critters, like the majestic fossa. It's a carnivorous relative of the mongoose that hails from Madagascar.

Colorful peacocks roam the paths: watch out, they're beggars! You could spend all day exploring this amazing zoo and still not see all the animals here.
