Chadron State Park is located in the northwest corner of the state, inside the Nebraska National Forest. The park is nine miles south of Chadron.

This beautiful 973-acre park was established in 1921, and is Nebraska's oldest state park. There's so much to see and do here, that you'll want to spend at least a weekend exploring.

Surround yourself with the beauty of nature on one of the hiking trails here. The park offers six miles of trails, and the adjacent Nebraska National Forest has an additional 100 miles of trails, so you'll never run out of hiking opportunities.

Take a guided horseback ride. This family-friendly activity allows riders six years and older to participate.

Practice your archery skills at the archery range.

Fish in the park lagoon, or hop aboard a paddleboat.

Cool off in the park's swimming pool. It's open from Memorial weekend through Labor Day, and a lifeguard is on duty for your safety.

Not ready for your trip to end? Stay overnight in one of the 22 cabins available for rent. Cabins include air conditioning, heating, blankets, towels and kitchenettes.
