Glacier National Park Was Named The Most Beautiful Place In Montana And We Have To Agree

There's no denying that Montana's natural beauty is second to none. Every part of this state has its own unique beauty we wouldn't trade for anything else in the world. When listing the most beautiful part of every state, it's no surprise that Glacier National Park is often the Montana pick. No matter how many times you visit Glacier, this national park in Montana will never fail to take your breath away.

Glacier National Park spans over one million acres in the northern part of the state, bordering Canada in parts.

The park has two mountain ranges, over 130 named lakes, more than 1,000 different species of plants, and hundreds of species of animals.

The ecosystem here is pristine, giving plants and animals a place to grow and thrive.

While it can be treacherous here in the winter, summers at Glacier National Park are absolutely magical.

Glacier's mountains started forming over 170 million years ago, which is mind-boggling to think about.

Back then, the glaciers were abundant. But currently, only 25 active glaciers remain.

Glacier is full of iconic and famous spots, like Lake McDonald.

Lake McDonald is easy to find, completely breathtaking, and somewhat of a symbol for the park.

Wild Goose Island, a tiny speck of land that dots the waters of Saint Mary Lake, is one of the most photographed spots in the park.

You can usually spot it from the world famous Going-to-the-Sun Road.

When you visit, we highly recommend going on a waterfall hike.

From Virginia Falls to Running Eagle Falls (pictured here), you'll have plenty of options depending on your comfort level and experience.

It's easy to see why a travel publication would choose Glacier as Montana's most beautiful place.
