Wild Acres in McHenry is a wildlife hands-on discovery park that specializes in private tours and wildlife encounters.

It also hosts a slew of special events, such as painting parties, themed meals, and more.

At the beginning of 2022, Wild Acres got even better when it announced that it was expanding its offering to include otter experiences.

During the once-in-a-lifetime experience, you’ll get to interact with Billie and Jelly, the park’s Asian small-clawed otters.

Undeniably adorable, the Asian small-clawed otter is the smallest otter species in the world. They’re also known for being extremely vocal and playful.

Luckily, every otter experience is private, which means you and your group will have the cute critters all to yourselves.

Sure to result in lifelong memories, you and your group will get a full 30 minutes of intimate play and bonding time with the otters.

In addition to playing with the adorable otters, you’ll get to feed them their favorite snack – fresh fish.

Just like all of the animal encounters at Wild Acres, the otter experience must be booked in advance and is open to all ages.

An otterly unique opportunity, there’s no doubt that the otter experience at Wild Acres is sure to become a new favorite.
