Billed a “community jewel” of Brandon, the Reservoir Botanical Gardens is a woodland garden comprised of native plants and trees as well as ornamental flowers and shrubs.
The gorgeous garden is easy to explore thanks to a short, paved trail.
Perfect for a quick, scenic stroll, the trail is less than one mile in length, and typically, takes around 10 minutes to complete.

Traversing it is a breeze, too, since there’s a minimal elevation gain. Plus, the entire trail is asphalt – except for a small portion, which features a wooden bridge.

It’s also a great visit for all ages. Signage labeling the flowers and plants provides a fun way for kids and adults to learn about botany.

Dogs are welcome on the trail too. They must be leashed, though. And owners must clean up after their pooches, which couldn’t be easier since there’s a pet waste station with plastic baggies.
