Fulmer’s General Store In Mississippi Is Too Charming For Words
Fulmer’s General Store in Mississippi offers a nostalgic experience with its charming setup, farm animals, and historic log cabin.
Once extremely popular, general stores were the place to go when you needed basic essentials and household items. Mississippi, just like many other states, was at one time full of these charming stores. Today, the state is home to only a handful of these quaint shops, including Fulmer’s General Store.
Located just outside of Richton, you'll find Fulmer's Farmstead, which includes a farm, livestock and general store.
The fully operational general store is too charming for words.
Entering Fulmer's General Store is like taking a step back in time.
The shelves are filled with a variety of homestead and gift items.
The general store also includes a cafe and bakery, which offers fresh, homemade treats and bread daily.
And when in season, locally-grown fruits and vegetables are sold in the store.
Since the general store is situated in the middle of a farm, there's plenty of room for exploring.
While looking around, keep your eyes peeled for goats, chickens, ponies and any other animals that may be roaming around.
And don't forget to check out the historic log cabin, which is estimated to be at least a century old.
Visit Fulmer’s at 510 Wingate Rd. in Richton on Monday – Saturday, from 8 am – 5 pm. Be sure to visit in September, when Fulmer's hosts the state's annual Pecan Festival. For more information, click here.
