1. Tamarack Nature Center - White Bear Lake, MN
With 302 acres of beautiful nature preserve to explore, the Tamarack Nature Center must be on your bucket list. Everything from day camps to volunteer work is available, but the play area and garden are a big hit with the kids. Sometimes, you just need to run around for a while.
2. Westwood Hills Nature Center - Saint Louis Park, MN
Next on our list is Westwood Hills, a 160-acre area with multiple biomes to explore at your leisure. This little slice of heaven in the city is a bit of peace and quiet, cultivated to be as natural as possible. Though the trails are open daily while the sun is up, the interpretive center is a must-visit if you desire more education and fun!
3. Ney Nature Center - Henderson, MN
The biggest of these three nature centers, Ney holds 446 acres of preservation land. Programs and events are a large part of the fun here, and if you can join in on a special day, you and the kids are bound to have tons of fun. Outside of events and day camps, the park trails are a great way to explore the local natural beauty.
