Miners Falls is located off Miners Castle Rd in Munising, just four miles off H-58.
When you’re ready to get out and immerse yourself in nature, there’s no better place for a hike. Find a spot in the convenient on-site parking area, grab a snack or water bottle, and round up the family.
Next, embark on a truly scenic nature walk en route to the falls themselves. The trail here is dotted with lush foliage, wildlife, flora, and a genuine sense of serenity that’s impossible not to appreciate.
To reach the waterfall overlook area, you’ll only need to hike .6 miles, so this trail is suitable for kids or folks who don’t consider themselves expert outdoorsmen. The views are so worth the stroll.
At the end of the gravel walkway, you’ll find two overlooks, including a lower section that can be reached by scaling down a set of stairs. Bring along your camera, as you’ll want to remember this.
Miners Falls itself tumbles approximately 50 feet over a sandstone cliff, making for a real sight to behold. When surrounded by summer greenery or fall foliage, the atmosphere is extra magical.
If that weren’t enough, the trail at Miners Falls is pet-friendly for leashed animals. After hours of road-tripping through the Upper Peninsula, we can’t think of a better place to enjoy some fresh air.
As you make the .6-mile return trip to the parking lot, you’ll feel as if you’ve uncovered a whimsical new world. With its natural splendor, Miners Falls is sure to become a quick family favorite.
