Celebrate The Start Of Maple Season In Massachusetts With The Maple Happenings Festival At Appleton Farms
Appleton Farms in South Hamilton hosts a spring maple festival with activities like hiking, fire pits, and maple sugaring demonstrations.
Though you may think of maple as a fall flavor, maple sugaring season actually begins in the early spring! Appleton Farms in South Hamilton is hosting an ongoing maple festival packed with fun and activities for all ages. You can enjoy hiking, fire pits, and plenty of maple goodness.
Are you ready for a sugar rush? Maple Happenings maple festival is about to kick off at Appleton Farms in South Hamilton.
This spectacular event allows visitors to view and take part in the maple sugaring season at the farm.
You’ll be able to check out the tapped trees and learn how farmers harvest sap to make maple syrup.
Visitors are also invited to watch demonstrations of maple sugaring in the sugar shack.
The sweet smell and taste of the “maple mist” produced by this process is a truly unique experience.
Head off into the farmland for a self-guided tour of the toppled maple trees and don’t forget to grab a snack from the food trucks on Sundays.
Cozy up to a fire pit after your hike. The pits can be reserved through the farm’s Fire Pit Picnic program.
Feel like taking home a taste of the season? Stop by the farm shop for maple snacks and treats to purchase. Craft beer vendors will also be around on Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Maple Happenings ends on March 21, 2021, so don’t wait to head down! Individual events and experiences are ticketed, so stop by the event site (listed below) to reserve your spot.
