Spring is here, the weather is getting warm, the sun is shining, and a feeling of magic is in the air! This season is a time of renewal and the best way to experience the magic of the season is to head out into nature. So, how about a wildflower hike in Massachusetts? One of the most extraordinary places to see wildflowers along a trail is at Mount Norwottuck in the Holyoke Range.
Located within the 3,000-acre Mount Holyoke Range State Park near Amherst, Mount Norwottuck is the range's highest peak at 1,106 feet.
Take the 3.4-mile Mount Norwottuck loop trail to experience some of the magic of springtime within Mount Holyoke Range State Park. The trail is rated as moderate to difficult and has an overall elevation gain of 626 feet.
