Assateague State Park is an eastern shore gem. While most head to the eastern shore in the summertime for Ocean City, this place should also be a must-visit stop along the way.

Sometimes you'll spot the horses in the distance, beautifully grazing away...

...and other times they'll be meandering the beach like they're one of the humans.
