This summer, everyone is heading to Ocean City but if it's an underrated gem you seek, check out this local spot. The following boardwalk provides amazing river views, is nestled along delectable restaurants, and is the perfect place for a summer stroll.

Solomons Island is a great spot for a weekend getaway. One of the best gems here is the boardwalk, located along the Patuxent River.

There's plenty of parking so find a spot and explore all the area has to offer.

Across from the boardwalk, there are plenty of shops and eateries to explore. Peruse the businesses, fill up on seafood, and then burn off those calories with a scenic stroll.
