Swim At The Bottom Of A Waterfall After The Half-Mile Hike To Kilgore Falls In Maryland

Have you always wanted to stand under a refreshing waterfall? You can do so at Maryland's Rocks State Park in Harford County.

The parking area for the waterfall swimming hole requires reservations during summer weekends. There are only 28 parking spots available so be sure to get your weekend pass by clicking here.

Parking passes are not required for week days but the spaces are first come, first serve. Arrive early if you want a spot.

From the parking area, the hike to the falls is only a half-mile. It's bumpy and rocky, so keep in mind that's it's not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.

The short trek is worth the (easy) effort because you'll soon arrive at Kilgore Falls.

You can simply sit on the side and enjoy the beauty or go ahead and take a dip! Feeling the water splash against your body is an invigorating experience.

There are also shallow areas along the edges that are perfect for toddlers to splash around. All ages can enjoy this hidden gem.
