We have a state park in the small town of Lusby, Maryland, that is perfect for a day of exploration for all ages. Calvert Cliffs State Park is open from sunrise to sunset and has a fun variety of things to do. Visit the recycled tire park or walk the shoreline near the geological wonder that is the cliffs. This is a beautiful outdoor adventure in Maryland just waiting to be had.

What makes this park most notable is the fact that it protects a wide portion of cliffs that extend 24 miles alongside the eastern side of the Calvert Peninsula.

Historically, these cliffs were formed over 10 to 20 million years ago when the sea was receding into the cliffs, exposing the eroding cliffs.
