You’ll Have Loads Of Fun At This Dairy Farm In Maine With Incredible Ice Cream And Milk

There are farms all over America, but we think the ones in Maine are just a bit more special. Sure, it might be that we live here and love just about anything the state has to offer. But we also think there's some truth to the idea that visiting farms in Maine is just more fun. Especially the ones offering lots of activities and delicious treats! The next time you're looking for a fun day trip check out this beloved farm in Westbrook.

Slightly hidden in Westbrook you'll find the sprawling Smiling Hill Farm.

Owned by the same family for 12 generations, this place has become synonymous with all things dairy here in Maine.

You've probably seen their simple glass bottle in any grocery store. And if you're lucky you've tasted their many flavored milks. From strawberry to chocolate to even banana milk, this is a dream come true for any milk lover.

While we love finding it in the grocery store, a visit to the farm is even more special. In fact, it makes for a fantastic day trip any time of year.

In the fall visitors can enjoy rides to the pumpkin patch.

And you can't miss a visit to the petting zoo!

The pygmy goats here are unique and so much fun to see.

Both kids and adults love meeting all the animals, but we pretty much always have a different motivation for our visits and that's ice cream!

Line up for the flavors of the day in the dairy barn.

And leave with the creamiest, tastiest, most delicious cone you've ever had.

Once you've gobbled it up, head to the store to grab some cheese.

Hot Chocolate... or team Hot Vanilla?

Smiling Hill Farm is open every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. They offer a ton of activities and things to do so be sure to check out their website to plan your visit. You can also follow them on Facebook to keep up with special events. They can be reached on 207-775-4818.

If it's animals you love most, you might want to check out a unique way to enjoy farm life for an entire weekend! There's a bed and breakfast on this alpaca farm in Maine and you simply have to visit.
