From downtown Shreveport, drive north on Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway. Just north of the casinos, Clyde Fant veers to the left. The name of the road becomes Grimmett Drive. From Grimmett Drive, turn right onto LA Route 3049 (Dixie Shreveport Road).

You can also turn right at Old Dixie Gin and Sentell Road and drive the loop around the levee. Sentell Road circles back to LA 3049 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, just north of Dixie. This drive features several vibrant sunflower varieties and a field of pretty wildflowers. Sunflowers along the trail are expected to be in full bloom.

The fields are open to the public as long as they are in bloom. There is no admission fee, no hours of operation... just good old-fashioned farm fields.

The flowers typically bloom from mid-June until early July, giving you plenty of time to check them out.
