Located in the middle of Wichita is a trail that everyone should take. Now, not all scenic trails are accessible but there are some that exist in The Sunflower State. For an easy, accessible hike along a boardwalk with scenic views in Kansas, make your way to Chisolm M. Creek Park and take the lovely Chisolm Creek Trail.

Located in Wichita, Chisolm Creek Park is an oasis in the city. It was named for Jesse Chisolm (1805-1868), a Cherokee trader, merchant, guide, and interpreter who lived in the area at one point in his life.

The 1.7-mile Chisolm Creek Trail is an easy loop that is family-friendly and good for all skill levels. Here you'll find a river, wetlands, wildflowers in the spring and summer, and scenic views.

The boardwalk trail is accessible, good for strollers and wheelchairs. Just about everyone can enjoy the scenery as it loops through the wetlands and forest.

Along this trek, you'll encounter several pedestrian bridges which are picturesque in their own right.
