Berry Hill in Kansas offers a variety of pick-your-own produce throughout the year, including strawberries, sweet corn, watermelons, sunflowers, and pumpkins.
If you love to pick your own food, this charming little farm in Kansas is the perfect place to get some. Come by and grab a bucket! Whether you're after berries in the spring or corn and sunflowers this summer, they've got something for everyone. It's time for a snack fresh off the vine.
Welcome to Berry Hill! This little farm in Kansas is hidden a bit out of the way in an area called Berryton. Fitting, we think!
Just south of Topeka, this public farm sells pick-your-own strawberries in the spring, and many other items to pick through the rest of the year. There's no charge just to visit, but there are donation boxes that keep the farm running and the produce prices reasonable.
Right now, they have sweet corn available to pick as each patch grows at staggered times to keep people flowing through the farm. They have a few fields they plant at different times to make sure there's a steady supply of fresh sweet corn ready to go.
To make sure you know when the next pick is, check the Facebook page for updates and dates.
Mid August, you can expect watermelon available to pick, fresh off the vine and into your car.
Sunflowers will be ready to head home with you late August and labor day weekend, with more possibly around the first of October.
Pumpkins are also expected around the first of October, and we couldn't be more excited. What looks better than pumpkins and sunflowers in a Kansas scene? Not much, if you ask me.
They're open when the pickings are fresh, and you can call them at (785) 633-7374 to ask about photography bookings and more.
Fair warning - there are no restrooms here, and remember that for 24 hours after rain, there's a good chance you can get stuck in the muddy parking.
