Pinicon Ridge Park in Linn County is close to Cedar Rapids and it's the perfect place to try out kayaking in Iowa.
This stunning park is a family-friendly spot for hiking, picnicking, and relaxing under the summer sun. The scenic Wapsipinicon River is the centerpiece of Pinicon Ridge.
All summer long, you can rent boats from the Pinicon Boat Concession that's run by the park itself.
Try paddleboats, kayaks, or canoes - there are plenty to go around!
No matter what type of boat you decide to drop in, you'll pay just $10 an hour or $25 a day. If you're camping overnight, you can enjoy an overnight rental for just $35! Lifejackets are also available to help keep you safe.

To reach the Pinicon Ridge Boat Concession, call 319-438-1961. The rentals are available Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m and Weekdays from 1 p.m to 5 p.m, and the concession is typically open from May through August.
