This Zoo In Iowa Has Animals That You May Have Never Seen In Person Before

Blank Park Zoo in south Des Moines is Iowa's only accredited zoo, and you'll want to visit this wild safari.

Get up close and personal with all sorts of wild critters that you would otherwise never get to see!

Make a beeline for the African Lion exhibit, where you'll find two adults and their three cubs. These rare beasts truly are the Kings of the Jungle.

The Blank Park Zoo is also home to a Siberian Tiger, whose playful antics are sure to keep you entertained.

The Rhinos are a crowd favorite. Tumani was born at the Zoo, and her cheerful personality has won over the hearts of thousands of visitors.

In the winter (from October to April), their hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and once the weather warms up (May through September), you can visit the zoo from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for plenty of fun.
