There are a few boardwalks that lead to scenic overlooks in this park that make for great views of the creek.

Besides a rushing creek, you'll also hear rushing water from The Silver Cascade waterfall.

This is the main waterfall in the park, though the cliffs make small waterfalls all the time.

While this park has a small, intimate feel to it, it's actually quite large.

Overall, Shades State Park makes up 3,082-acres. Within this area is also Pine Hills Nature Preserve which has even more nature views and trails.
