You Won’t Want To Miss The Most Breathtaking Flower Bloom In Indiana This Spring

Fort Wayne, Indiana is a small city not terribly far from Indy where all sorts of fun stuff goes on. Every weekend (week, and month too), there's always something going on no matter what time of year it is. In the spring, though, something amazing happens that too many folks tend to blow off or, even worse, they don't even know it's a thing: brilliant, colorful wildflowers come raring back to life in many parts of the city, but there's one park in particular that overdoes it every season. You don't need to go terribly far for spring flower blooms in Indiana... some of them are right in our backyard.

Welcome to the wonder that is Lakeside Park, a favorite among the locals for all sorts of reasons.

But the reason it's MY personal favorite is the utterly incredible flower blooms that take place in the spring (and sometimes into summer).

The park is almost 26 acres of absolutely stunning landscaping, and it's beyond perfect for a spring walk.

Come April, the daily highs are typically in the 60s, which I adore. It's not too warm, and it's not too chilly - it's perfect.

As you wander, you'll be immersed in a world of roses, tulips, and other blooms.

And okay, okay - maybe these aren't the "wildest" of wildflowers, but they're still easily one of the best spring blooms in Indiana, period.

While you're here, there's plenty to do.

Amenities at the park include fun stuff like basketball, fishing, playgrounds, trails, and tennis courts. It's a delight for the whole family and everyone will find something they love here.

My favorite thing, though, is those flowers.

Those simply incredible flowers.

Of course, you don't really need to do anything while you're here, either.

Sometimes, the best thing to do is nothing at all - other than breathing, taking it all in, and practicing a little gratitude.
