One great animal attraction in Statesboro, GA is Georgia Southern University's Center for Wildlife Education. This wildlife education facility strives to inform the public about native species, with a special focus on raptors. This is quite fitting because Georgia Southern's mascot is the mighty bald eagle, which is one of the largest raptors in the world. The Center for Wildlife Education is home to two bald eagles: Glory and Freedom.
