Chestatee Overlook in Georgia is situated in Dahlonega but is worth the drive to get these views. Imagine seeing all the best Georgia has to offer from one incredible spot.

Chestatee Overlook in Georgia is in the Chattahoochee National Forest and offers one of the best scenic views in the entire state.

This wide view offers up a chance to see the watershed which gives rise to the actual Chestatee River.

In the foreground, you’ll find the beauty of Blood Mountain Wilderness, plus miles and miles in every direction.

Anyone who wants a little bit of exercise with their scenery can take the Chestatee Overlook Ridge Trail which is 1.4-miles out and back with a forested setting and incredible views.

But even just driving up in your car will give you amazing scenery right through your windshield. Just drive 11.7 miles from Dahlonega up State Highway 60 past the entrance to Dockery Lake Campground.

You’ll see signs for the overlook eventually and then it isn’t long before you take in all the natural beauty.
