Bear Creek Trail in Georgia is a popular trail in the Chattahoochee National Forest near the small town of Ellijay.
What makes the trail so unique to other trails in Georgia is that during the wetter seasons the forest is blanketed in stunning, vibrant green flora.
Moss covers the stones in the nearby creek, meanwhile towering old-growth trees shoot up toward the sky.
In fact, Bear Creek Trail is home to the Gennett Poplar tree, which holds the title for the second-biggest living tree in the state.
But beyond the beauty of the trees and vegetation, the hike itself will wind you through the forest at your leisure.
Clocking in at around 6 miles roundtrip, this hike makes for the perfect way to spend an afternoon outdoors, scoring sunshine and fresh air.
The trail remains relatively easy for most, just keep an eye out for mountain bikers who frequent this steady trail.
