The Magnificent Overlook In Florida That’s Worthy Of A Little Adventure

You don't often find overlooks in Florida, not compared to other states which have hiking trails up to the top of mountains for 360-views. But when you do come across an overlook in The Sunshine State, it usually is something worth marveling over. A perfect example would be the Green Mountain Scenic Overlook in Minneola. As part of the Lake Apopka Loop Trail, this magnificent overlook showcases the natural beauty of central Florida from above the treetops.

Green Mountain Scenic Overlook in Florida is one of the few accessible locations in the state that offers views of the surrounding area from high above the ground.

As the highest elevation point in Central Florida, guests will be able to enjoy sweeping panoramic views of Lake Apopka and beyond.

There is good news for visitors who don't feel like hiking, but who are looking to enjoy some views. The high point is at the entrance to the trailhead, with the overlook less than 150-feet away.

But if you want to hike along the trail, it would certainly be worth the trek enjoying all of the flora and fauna that Central Florida offers.

Also if you’re coming from the trailhead, you can simply climb up the steps and get to the overlook, versus approaching it from above near the parking lot.

Green Mountain Scenic Overlook is intended for day use only and will be open from 7 a.m. until dusk.

Visitors are able to bring a picnic, some snacks, or even their fur friends to enjoy the overlook together.
