Florida’s Brevard Zoo Has Been Voted The Best Zoo In The U.S.

While there are hundreds upon hundreds of zoos within North America, USA Today just recently came out with a list of the top 10, and guess which state has one of the best? Florida! That's right, folks, the Brevard Zoo in Florida has made the Top 10 Best Zoos in America, and if you've ever visited this zoo, you know exactly why. But if you haven't even been there before? The Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida is a 75-acre nonprofit with over 900 wonderful animals residing within.

The almost-200 different species represented in this zoo come from all over the world, including Asia, Australia, Africa, and South America.

Open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., the last admission for the day must be in by 3 p.m. in order to have enough time to explore.

Beyond just exploring the various habitats for each of the animals that reside here, there are other ways to have your own personal encounters, too.

For instance, for an additional fee, you can kayak through Expedition Africa, take the Treetop Trek aerial tour, or even feed a giraffe!

The Brevard Zoo is internationally accredited, and home to tons of wild animals that you wouldn’t find just anywhere.
