The Sapphire Natural Pool In Florida That’s Devastatingly Gorgeous

Blue Grotto Dive Resort in Williston, Florida, offers a stunning natural spring perfect for diving, snorkeling, and swimming.

Sometimes I think Florida should be called the Adventure State, because there are so many exciting and jaw-dropping things to see and places to explore. Some of our state's greatest features are its gorgeous natural springs, and you've probably visited a few of them in our state parks and forests. There are a few lesser-known spots that you might not have heard of, though, like this scenic spring in North Florida, just waiting to be explored:

At first glance, this beautiful natural pool looks like something out of a dream, too pretty to be real.

But this natural wonder is real, and it's right here in Florida. Welcome to the Blue Grotto Dive Resort in Williston.

The large cerulean pool is surrounded by lush tropical scenery and high bluffs.

Even up close, the water is so clear and blue, you won't believe your eyes. It's like diving into a giant sapphire.

Although Blue Grotto is designated as a diving spot, snorkelers and swimmers are allowed in the spring if accompanied by divers.

This is the largest clear-water cavern in the area, but it's also one of the safest. All you need is an Open Water Diving Certification to explore the 100-foot-deep grotto.

Blue Grotto is great for both experienced divers and beginners. This gorgeous natural pool has crystal-clear water that stays 72 degrees year-round.

If you don't live nearby, don't worry. You can bring your friends or family and stay in the on-site cabins for the perfect getaway. Blue Grotto is open for both day and nighttime dives, by appointment.

If you do decide to visit Blue Grotto, keep in mind that there are other nearby natural gems, like Devil's Den (also in Williston) and Rainbow Springs State Park (30 minutes away in Dunnellon). Now that would be an unforgettable adventure.
