It's one of the best ways to discover the prettiest views of an area and to explore all the terrain that a park has to offer. Mianus River Park spans nearly 400 acres right on the Greenwich/Stamford border. It's actually made up of three separate parks.

Mianus River and Natural Park is located within the town of Greenwich. Right next to it is Mianus River Park within the city of Stamford. Right beside that is Mianus River State Park, which is owned by the state.

It's all a little confusing, but thankfully, the sections all connect to one another, so you're perfectly free to enjoy the park as a whole!

The portion of the park that's owned by the the state has quite a bit of history. It was once known as Treetops and was the estate of jazz singer/actress Libby Holman.

Two miles of the Mianus River flow right through the park, providing lovely scenery for those hiking along the banks.

However, there's plenty more to see here. You'll find caves, mature woods, and more within the park's borders.

You'll find a great variety of trails here, with lengths and difficulties suitable for everyone.

This park is like something for a dream if you're looking for a tranquil place to experience nature.
