The Iconic Hiking Trail In Connecticut Is One Of The Coolest Outdoor Adventures You’ll Ever Take

Fans of hiking in Connecticut have plenty of trails to choose from. No matter what corner of the state you're in, you'll find some amazing trails. We often feature short, easy trails that are perfect for exploring with the whole family and suitable for even novice hikers. Those are great, and often have surprisingly amazing views. However, we're also aware that some of our readers are fans of challenges, and might want to sometimes see harder trails that represent a great goal to work up to. The trail we're featuring today definitely falls into that category. The magnificent Caleb Peak Trail in Kent, CT is one of our favorite hard hikes in Connecticut. Let's check it out:

The trail is located within Kent's stunning Pond Mountain Natural Area. This 800-acre park is such a beautiful place to visit in any season.

The Caleb Peak Trail measures around 10 miles and is an out-and-back adventure you won't soon forget.

The trail's elevation gain is an impressive 2,680 feet, making this quite the workout.

There are some rocky scrambles in a few areas, which adds even more of a challenge.

The views make the effort more than worth it, though!

The trail intersects with the mighty Appalachian Trail, and you may even meet a few AT hikers on your journey.

This trail is such a fun adventure that shows off some of Kent's incredible beauty.

It's certainly not suitable for everyone, but if you're up for the challenge, it's definitely memorable.
