1. Lyman Orchards, Middlefield
The long-standing Lyman Orchards has been around for more than 275 years. While best known for its apple picking bonanza and epic corn maze, this orchard also has pick-your-own strawberries, blueberries, peaches, pears, pumpkins, and more.
2. Lapsley Orchard, Pomfret Center
For sweet blueberries and apples visit Lapsley Orchard. You can pick herbs and flowers, too. In the fall, there will be plenty of pumpkins for the harvest season. You can also stop by the farm stand to stock up on the freshest fruits and veggies. It is also a beautiful beautiful scenic drive to get to Lapsley Orchard.
3. Buell's Orchard, Eastford
If you really love to pick your own fruit, Buell's Orchard in Eastford is loaded with apples, peaches, blueberries, strawberries, and pumpkins in season. But make sure to try the famous apple cider donuts while you're there; they're delicious!
4. Holmberg Orchards & Winery, Gales Ferry
From a farm market to pick-your-own fruit, you'll find plenty of ways to enjoy the freshest fruit in Connecticut at Holmberg Orchards. You can pick apples, pears, pumpkins, peaches, raspberries, and blueberries. This beautiful location also has a bakery and a winery on site.
5. Bishop's Orchards Farm, Market & Winery, Guilford
You'll find strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, pears, apples, and pumpkins among the amazing fruit picking at Bishop's Orchards. Visit the farm stand loaded with goodies or enjoy a glass of wine at the on-site winery. They also make amazing pastries so be sure to purchase some to take home for family and friends.
6. Scotts' Connecticut Valley Orchards, Deep River
One of the best and most popular fruit farms in Connecticut is Scotts' Connecticut Valley Orchards. Fruit lovers will enjoy picking their own blueberries, peaches, and apples at this orchard.
7. March Farm, Bethlehem
Kids will immediately be drawn to the goats and the hayloft playscape at March Farms. You can pick your own strawberries, blueberries, cherries, apples, peaches, and pumpkins in season. Enjoy snacks from the farm bakery, or take a walk on the trails too.
8. Ellsworth Hill Orchard and Berry Farm, Sharon
A wide selection including strawberries, cherries, blueberries, raspberries, plums, peaches, pears, apples, and pumpkins awaits pick-your-own fruit folks at Ellsworth Hill Orchard and Berry Farm. The scenic drive to get here is captivating, which is another draw for a visit here.
9. Clark Farms at Bushy Hill Orchard, Granby
At Clark Farms at Bushy Hill Home you will enjoy picking blueberries, peaches, raspberries, and 15 varieties of apples. Located in the town of Granby, they also have a bakery and ice cream at the farm, so there is no shortage of sweet stuff here. Grab a bite to eat at the cafe & pub, which offers dine-in, patio seating, and takeout. The farm also features a cidery and greenhouse. There's so much to see, do, and enjoy here!
10. Jones Family Farm and Winery, Shelton
Jones Family Farm and Winery is a seventh-generation family farm bursting with succulent strawberries and blueberries for the picking. You can also find pumpkins and Christmas trees for the holidays. The adults in your group can enjoy a refreshing glass of wine after all of that hard (yet absolutely fun) fruit picking.
