If there's one thing you can say with certainty about Connecticut's weather, it's that it can be uncertain. I mean, well - most things in life are, but sometimes the weather can get REALLY wild when you least expect it. The Farmers' Almanac predictions try to take some of that uncertainty away, leading to a better sense of sureness leading into the chilly season. Sure, it's all in good fun - but it's fun we've been having for a LONG time.
The Farmers' Almanac uses a proprietary formula based on sunspots, astronomy, tides, and other factors to determine weather months in advance and has for more than two centuries now. While many folks believe it to be old-fashioned in a world of mathematical models and algorithms (okay, fine - technically it is - but you get the idea here), swaths of folks still swear by the Farmers' Almanac predictions each year. You never know - it could be right!
The 2024-2025 winter predictions for Connecticut call for a return to milder temperatures, with a few exceptions peppering the forecast here and there. Supposedly, for example, the last two weeks of January are expected to be quite bitterly cold, with freezing temperatures in Connecticut dipping low and chilling the whole East Coast.
Rain, sleet, and, of course, snow are all expected to be quite common occurrences this year. So, how about it? Are you hoping for a white Christmas, or crossing your fingers that the Farmers' Almanac predictions are wrong? You can check out the full 2024-2025 winter predictions for Connecticut on the Farmers' Almanac website.
