No matter the time of year, nothing beats a Colorado hike, all of which come with various distances and skillsets. While everyone has their own preference when it comes to hiking, however, we can all agree on one thing: that nothing beats a stunning waterfall hike, like that of the short-and-sweet 1.6-mile out-and-back Alberta Falls Trail!
Tucked away inside of the can't miss Rocky Mountain National Park, Alberta Falls is arguably one of the most popular waterfalls in the Centennial State, and for a good reason.
Named after original settler Alberta Sprague, Alberta Falls is a 30-foot-tall waterfall that cascades down the side of a rocky canyon before continuing along the crystal-clear Glacier Creek.
Do you want to see these jaw-dropping falls for yourself? No problem, thanks to the 1.6-mile out-and-back Alberta Falls Trail. With minimal elevation gain, it's perfect for everyone in the family!
In addition to the actual falls, the Alberta Falls Trail is home to ample wildlife sightings, as well as a charming footbridge and breathtaking forest landscape.
Please note: The Alberta Falls Trail is open year-round but is best used between May and October. Please use caution if you visit when snow and ice are present.
Admission to Rocky Mountain National Park and the Alberta Falls Trail is $15 per person per day or $25 per vehicle per day.
