You have seen all of the gorgeous technicolor Disney movies and their bright portrayal of princesses, nature, and animals, but this is merely childhood folklore... right? Well, Prince Charming awakening you with a kiss may be a little out there (honey, if you're reading this and EVER try kissing me awake when I'm fast asleep, you are a dead man), but the watercolor-esque outdoor scenes are real, as evidenced by this beautiful Colorado forest that looks like something out of a storybook:
Located in the central part of the state is the stunning San Isabel National Forest; an expansive 1.1 million acres of lovely trees, mountains, and lakes.
Established in 1902, San Isabel is home to 19 of Colorado’s 53 fourteeners...
...as well as unforgettable outdoor recreation opportunities
As if all of the above weren’t reason enough to visit, San Isabel is also home to a whopping seven officially designated wilderness areas, including the Spanish Peaks, Sangre de Cristo Range, and Collegiate Peaks.
And now for those storybook views we were alluding to...
We're totally getting "Sound of Music" vibes from this breathtaking scene!
There's no way this forest isn't enchanted.
Every storybook needs a castle, which in this case is the jaw-dropping Bishop Castle.
The stunning sunsets over Collegiate Peaks will make you swoon.
This definitely looks like a fairytale adventure waiting to happen!
