Lake Estes Is A Bike & Trike Friendly Path In Colorado That Will Lead You Through Natural Beauty

Lake Estes Trail in Estes Park offers a scenic 3.8-mile loop with stunning mountain views and abundant wildlife.

Are you tired of riding bikes around the neighborhood with your kids and seeing the same boring scenery each time? While riding bikes with your kids is a great way to bond and get out of the house, seeing the same pavement and homes each day can be downright tedious, which is why we recommend taking a ride down the gorgeous Lake Estes Trail:

Located in - you guessed it! - Estes Park, the Lake Estes Trail is a stunning 3.8-mile loop-trail that is situated in the heart of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Acting as the central trail hub for the extensive trail network throughout both Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park, Lake Estes offers 360-degree views of jaw-dropping mountain landscapes, creating a must-visit Centennial State escape.

As the name implies, the Lake Estes Trail encompasses its namesake water and boasts many places to pull over for a rest, picnic, or photo opportunity.

If you have ever visited Rocky Mountain National Park, you know that the area is chock-full of wildlife, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for such animals as moose, elk, birds, and other various woodland creatures.

No bike? No problem, as the Lake Estes Trail is also a popular spot for walking, jogging, and hiking!

The Lake Estes Trail is open year-round and can be accessed via Highway 34.

From Highway 34, take Lake Front Drive to Fisherman's Nook, where you will find the Lake Estes Visitor's Center parking area.
