My family and friends spent a lot of time at local parks when I was growing up, but there is one that sticks out for me. O'Melveny Park in Granada Hills, CA, is one of those cool places that you have to know is there - you don't just happen by it. But when you discover it, you want to keep going back because it has so much to offer. Take a look at why this hidden gem is the perfect spot for a day of adventure.
Tucked up along the foothills of the Santa Susana Mountains in one of LA County's residential neighborhoods, O'Melveny Park is a gorgeous green park with wide lawns, tons of trees, picnic areas, and a backdrop of pretty green hills. but that's just part of what this hidden park has to offer.
There are lovely walking paths through and around the lower part of the park. They are wide, flat, and paved so anyone can enjoy a beautiful stroll at their own pace.
For those who want a little more adventure, there are several incredible hiking trails, all considered moderate to challenging, that lead up into the hills around the park.
