Cuddle The Most Adorable Farm Animals At Griffith Park Pony Rides And Petting Zoo In Southern California

Time spent around animals is always time well spent. Just being around our furry friends can help reduce stress and create joy. In Southern California, there is a wonderful place where you can take the whole family to cuddle adorable farm animals and even take pony rides. Let's have a look.

Griffith Park Pony Rides and Petting Zoo was established on four acres within Los Angeles' Griffith Park in 1948 and provides a very affordable day for the entire family.

The ponies here are sweet and gentle, providing a calm, yet fun riding experience for all ages.

All pony rides are just $5 per person and include two laps around the ring. Depending on skill and age, you and the kids will have a choice of a slow pony, good for those over age one; a medium pony which Is good for those over three years old; or a big pony which is ideal for ages seven and up.

An alternative to the ring is a pony-go-round which is like a merry-go-round with ponies.

In addition to the pony rides, there is a petting zoo featuring miniature goats, sheep, and rabbits.

For the cost of just $5 per child (the same cost as a pony ride), kids can partake in what's called the 'Animal Care Experience.' During their time in the petting zoo, they can pet and groom the animals with a brush that's provided by an animal caregiver who also gives lessons on animal care.

Adults are allowed in for free with any paid admission for children under age 14.

Not only can kids (and adults, too!) cuddle with these adorable farm animals, but they get to learn a bit as well.
