It just takes a quick drive north of the Queen City to reach a natural wonder unlike any other at Whirlpool State Park.

This area is easy to explore, thanks to businesses like the Discover Niagara Shuttle. Visitors can hop on and off the shutter or park in the state park’s lot for free.

The beautiful hiking trails and scenic areas make this an amazing place relax when it’s warm outside. With 109 acres to explore, this hidden gem in Niagara County is full of adventure.

This trail overlooks the Niagara River and its Class Six rapids below, giving you one of the most unique views of the river.

The trails here are easy to navigate for any level of hiker, perfect for a family adventure, and open year-round.

When you’re through soaking in the sights at the overlooks and along the trail, you have the option of getting closer to the river if you’d like.

Just downstream from the main parking area, you’ll find a beautiful stone staircase that leads down to the lower level of the state park.
