Because no one has yet found the bottom of them, it’s said that the lakes are bottomless.

South Lake has had trout in it for more than 50 years. They’re losing their color and going blind, but it’s still cool that they’re thriving underground.

When the second lake, North Lake, was found in 1993, it made national news. The water is so pristine in North Lake that you can see part of the cave below its surface.
