You Can Pick Your Own Sunflowers At The Festive Mootown Farm In Arkansas

Mootown farm in Brookland, Arkansas offers family-friendly fall activities including sunflower picking, a pumpkin patch, hayrides, and a corn maze.

Y’all it’s sunflower season again, so folks, it's time to pick your own sunflowers from a nearby farm. Farmers are gearing up for the fall season by planting acres of seeds that will bloom into those delightful sunflowers. When was the last time you frolicked in a sunflower field? If you can’t remember, head over to Mootown, a farm in Brookland Arkansas, and spend some time dancing in a field of those vibrant beauties.

Welcome to Mootown! A charming farm tucked away in Northeast Arkansas, just a few miles north of Jonesboro.

Currently, the farm is open from Friday to Sunday, but be sure to check the Facebook page (linked below) for any updates.

Naturally, the farm plants crops like corn, squash, kale, tomatoes, peppers, and more. And once the crops are at peak ripeness and harvested, they are sold at a local farmers market in Jonesboro.

While the farm has a presence at the farmers market, it’s the fall activities that have visitors flocking to the farm each year.

They include the u-pick pumpkin patch, hayrides, barnyard animal petting, and the incredible corn maze.

These are all the fun family-friendly fall activities that last through the season.

But best of all, the farm plants acres of vibrant sunflowers and you can pick your own. You’ll love frolicking amongst the blooms in the fields that extend as far as the eye can see.

In previous years, the farm has hosted an event called the Sunflower Safari and it’s always a blast for the family.

Be sure to check the Facebook page and website for upcoming dates because weather can impact crops as well as delay events.

There’s a small admission fee for the safari that includes one sunflower that you can pick for yourself. Additionally, guests could purchase more sunflowers as well as a pail to arrange the gorgeous blooms.

While on the safari wagon, guests enjoyed riding through the acres of vibrant fields, as well as the photo ops amongst the delightful sunflowers.

This event is one of the most unique in northeastern Arkansas and it has certainly brought delight to the entire family.
