Follow This 0.7-Mile Trail In Arkansas To A Scenic Creek And Two Waterfalls

Paige Falls and Broadwater Hollow Falls Trail in Arkansas offers a short but scenic hike featuring multiple waterfalls and a pristine creek.

There are tons of great hikes in Arkansas. Some go on for miles and miles, while others are lacking in length but not much else. Paige Falls and Broadwater Hollow Falls Trail is the latter. It’s not even a mile long, yet it’s packed with lovely sights, including a pristine creek, two named waterfalls, and a few small falls.

Located near Compton, the Paige Falls and Broadwater Hollow Falls Trail is a 0.7-mile hike that’s dotted with waterfalls.

In addition to its two namesake waterfalls, Paige Falls and Broadwater Hollow Falls, there are several small cascades along the trail.

Easily accessible, the trail is just a short distance from the parking area (which is a pullout on the side of the road). A pristine creek marks the start of the trail.

Not long into the hike, you’ll find a small waterfall, making for a scenic trek right off the bat.

Though not a primitive trail, the path is well-beaten, making it pretty easy to follow. Plus, it runs along the creek, so even the directionally challenged should be able to find their way. (Remember, we said should be.)

As you make your way along, you’ll first get a glimpse of Paige Falls from above.

A couple of paths lead to its base, allowing for close-up views.

Definitely worth exploring, Paige Falls spills over a rocky ledge into an emerald pool. It’s truly breathtaking.

Just downstream from Paige Falls lies Broadwater Hollow Falls. At 21 feet in height, it’s nearly three times taller than Paige Falls.

You can end your hike at Broadwater Hollow Falls or continue downstream to explore further.

Ready to embark on this hike? Keep in mind that, even though it’s short, it’s rated as moderate.
