1. True Colors Farm by PerspectAbility, Bentonville

Let's kick off this flower road trip in Arkansas at the most vibrant tulip farm that you can imagine. True Colors Farm, a u-pick tulip farm, plants over 100,000 bulbs and for a small fee, you can frolic through the cheery and colorful tulip fields, while picking a lovely bouquet to brighten up your home. Plan to visit this beautiful flower destination in mid-April.

2. Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, Fayetteville

No springtime trip in Arkansas is complete without stopping at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. The explosion of colors inside the garden is a sight to behold. And with 12 themed gardens including a butterfly garden, you'll have lots to explore. It's also a great spot for a picnic, so pack a snack, find a spot, and marvel at all the lovely blooms.

3. Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area, Rogers

As the largest state park in Arkansas, Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area has over 12,000 acres to explore. Native wildflowers are plentiful inside the park. You'll come across a wide range of colorful blossoms as you explore the trails. One of our favorite trails to see wildflowers is the Pigeon Roost Trail. The 8-mile trail is bursting with colors during the springtime.

4. Blue Spring Heritage Center, Eureka Springs

Strolling through the gardens at Blue Spring Heritage Center will transport you to another world. Not only will you be surrounded by the bluest lagoon in Arkansas, but you'll also be mesmerized by the colorful flowers that surround it. At 33-acres, you can easily spend the day engulfed in the waterfalls, nature trails, and of course, the lovely flowers throughout the garden. We believe this is one of Arkansas' true hidden gems.

5. Baker Prairie Natural Area, Harrison

Next stop on our road trip is Baker Prairie Natural Area, a 30-acre prairie that's bursting with wildflowers during the warmer season. Hike the trails for a peaceful escape in nature and be sure to keep an eye out for all the native wildlife in the area. Especially the wide variety of butterflies that call this colorful prairie home.

6. Gaston Wildflower Garden Trail, Lakeview

Last but certainly not least is the Gaston Wildflower Garden Trail tucked inside Bull Shoals-White River State Park. This tiny but mighty meadow of wildflowers is home to a plethora of blooms including purple coneflowers, blazing stars, black-eyed Susans, and more. This colorful explosion of flowers will brighten up any dull day.
