The Winona Scenic Drive is a lovely backroad between Highway 7 and 9 near Jessieville. For directions, use this map.

The 27-mile tour takes you through a winding stretch of gravel road that's filled with scenic stops.

Eight scenic stops line the drive including gorgeous mountaintop lookouts and overviews of the nearby lakes.

There are quite a few forks but chances of getting lost are slim.

Just follow the designated "Auto Tour" signs along the way. It wouldn’t hurt to use this pamphlet as well.

Most of the vistas are quick detours.

If you're wanting more of an adventure, take the Ouachita National Recreation Trail.

This trailhead follows alongside the drive but then veers off to a better view of Flatside Pinnacle.

The scenic drive does has a handful of campsites if you need to stop awhile.

These are great spots if you're needing to take a picnic break.

The drive is easily accessible from the nearby Lake Sylvia or Lake Winona campsites.
