Arkansas state parks each have their own unique attractions but a train ride is rather unexpected. The Mountain Glory Train is a perfectly whimsical excursion atop Rich Mountain. A ride is a wonderful addition to your Queen Wilhelmina State Park day trip. Let's hop aboard and see the beautiful scenery along the way.
There's a small detour you need to take before pitching a tent at Queen Wilhelmina State Park.
This is the Mountain Glory Train Station, it's an adorably tiny train ride through the forest. You can hop aboard at 3897 Hwy 88 West, Mena, AR 71953.
This mountainside train ride is such a refreshing tour.
Breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the sunshine during the two-mile excursion atop Rich Mountain. The train was nearly replaced with a walking trail, but nostalgia won over and the train was saved earlier this year.
Along the way you'll spot all sorts of wildlife...
Butterflies, fox, deer - there's no telling what you'll see during the trip. The train runs from spring to summer so all of the local wildlife will be active.
...and some priceless vista views.
Remember this isn't a typical park mini train, you're at one of the most beautiful areas in Arkansas!

Every Arkansas state park has its own flair, but a miniature train ride through the mountain is quite the unique attraction. The train runs from Memorial Day until Labor Day, Tues - Sat 10 am - 6 pm and Sundays 1 - 6 pm. Tickets are $6.50 per person and free for those 3 and under.
The train predominately runs during spring and summer but does have special excursion rides throughout the year. Follow their Facebook Page to keep "track" of these rides.
